Applications

CSV-3000 is a specially formulated oil emulsion that is absorbed below the concrete surface and repels water. This vehicle should be blended with high Tg Acrylic and Polyurethane emulsions to provide unique semi-transparent concrete stains. Properly formulated stains will penetrate and seal the surface thus minimizing water transmission. The blending emulsion will determine the basic film properties. Stains made with this modifying vehicle can be formulated to be utilized in faux finishing. Water and solvent clear coatings can be applied as topcoats to enhance abrasion resistance.

Recommended Additions

Blending resins should be higher in Tg due to the plasticizing nature of CSV-3000. The recommended starting point can vary with the application technique and workability parameters. The general starting modification varies from 20 - 40% of CSV-3000.
